What do we actually build?
We build four things: Shopify stores, WooCommerce stores, the interface design that decides whether either one converts, and the automation that removes manual work from running them. Each has its own page stating who it is for and who it is not.
Shopify Development
Custom Shopify builds for brands that have outgrown an off-the-shelf theme.
- Custom Online Store 2.0 theme or headless storefront
- App, payment and fulfilment integration
- Migration with a full URL redirect map
WooCommerce Development
Custom WooCommerce builds and rescues for stores that need to own their own data.
- Custom themes and versioned business-logic plugins
- Hosting architecture, caching and speed work
- Migration, hardening and a named update policy
UI/UX Design
Ecommerce UX audits and redesign measured against conversion rate, not opinion.
- UX audit against a published checklist
- Redesign of the highest-revenue templates
- Design system and tokens, where they earn their cost
AI Automation
Automation for online stores, scoped against the hours it actually saves.
- Product content drafting from real spec data
- Inventory sync and order routing between systems
- Retrieval-based support assistants over your own policies
Which ecommerce platform should you choose?
Platform choice is decided by customisation depth, not by company size. If your requirements fit an app ecosystem and you want low maintenance overhead, a hosted platform wins. If you need custom business logic, no per-transaction fee, or outright ownership of the database, self-hosted wins. Catalogue size is rarely the deciding factor.
| Criterion | Shopify | WooCommerce |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Launching quickly with low maintenance overhead | Owning your data and running custom business logic |
| Setup speed | Fastest — hosting, security and PCI scope come with it | Moderate — hosting and infrastructure come first |
| Customisation ceiling | High everywhere the platform exposes an API | No ceiling — you hold the code |
| Checkout control | Locked below Shopify Plus | Fully editable, and fully your responsibility |
| Ongoing cost model | Monthly subscription, platform fee, app subscriptions | Hosting and maintenance, mostly one-off extension licences |
| Data ownership | Export available, the platform holds it | Complete — the database is yours |
| Where it struggles | Business rules the platform did not anticipate — tiered B2B pricing, unusual tax and fulfilment logic | Teams with no appetite for hosting, updates and security patching |
Shopify and WooCommerce are the two we build on most. Read how we compare Shopify and WooCommerce in detail for the version with the operational costs worked through.
Which platforms do you build on?
We build on two platforms: Shopify and WooCommerce. That is the whole list, and saying so is more useful than claiming equal mastery of a dozen. The eleven platforms beside them are ones we migrate stores away from — we know them well enough to move a catalogue, its customers and its URLs off safely, and not to sell you a build on one.
We build on these
2 platforms
01
Shopify
Hosted platform suited to brands that want to launch fast with minimal technical maintenance.
Developer documentation02
WooCommerce
Self-hosted WordPress platform for stores that need to own their data and business logic.
Developer documentation
Both are in active project work, and the recommendation between them is made before the sale rather than after it.
We migrate stores off these
11 platforms
Adobe Commerce
Left when the licence and specialist-developer cost outgrows the catalogue it serves.
BigCommerce
Left for a wider app ecosystem, usually after one integration hits a wall.
Squarespace
Left when the store stops being a page on a brochure site and becomes the business.
Wix
Left when the catalogue grows past what the editor can sensibly organise.
PrestaShop
Left when nobody on the team wants to keep the modules and the core in step.
OpenCart
Left when an extension the store depends on stops being maintained.
Ecwid
Left when the embedded widget is carrying more traffic than the site around it.
Square
Left when online orders overtake the till the account was opened for.
Big Cartel
Left when the product count passes what the plan allows.
Volusion
Left when the platform stopped receiving updates worth waiting for.
Shift4Shop
Left when the storefront cannot be changed without rebuilding it.
Migration work only — we will move you off these, not build you a new store on one. The reasons are the ones we keep meeting in the migrations we run.
How does an ecommerce build actually run?
An ecommerce build runs in four stages over roughly ten weeks: scoping and platform fit, design, build and integration, then migration and launch. The durations below are what our projects actually take rather than a best case, and the largest variable in every one of them is how quickly content and product data arrive.
01
Scope and platform fit
1 week
We work through your catalogue, order volume, integrations and business rules, then recommend a platform and write down what the build actually has to do. If the honest answer is that your current platform is fine, this is where we say so.
02
Design
2–3 weeks
We design the template set against a component library rather than page by page, starting with the templates that carry the most revenue. Accessibility constraints — contrast, target size, focus order — are applied while designing, not audited afterwards.
03
Build and integrate
4–6 weeks
We build the storefront and wire up payments, shipping, tax and any back-office systems the operation depends on. Everything is version controlled and deployed through a staging environment that mirrors production.
04
Migrate, launch, optimise
1–2 weeks
We migrate the catalogue and customer data, map every legacy URL to its new path, and test the whole checkout before launch. Afterwards we watch Core Web Vitals and checkout completion and fix what real users actually trip over.

You get a fixed block of design and development hours each month across UI/UX, frontend, backend and automation work, with a dedicated project manager and no lock-in contract. It suits teams with a continuous queue of work rather than one defined build.

Why do brands pick us over a freelancer or a bigger agency?
Brands pick us for four reasons, each of which is checkable rather than asserted: the price is published, the platform advice is not tied to what we sell, one team carries the whole project, and every service page states who it is not for. Adjectives are cheap; each claim below is paired with the thing that backs it.
The price is on the page
ProNuts is published at $3,200 for 160 hours a month — a real number with the hours it buys, not a "from" figure that turns out to be a floor. No competitor in our reference set publishes a price at all.
The platform advice comes before the sale
We build on both Shopify and WooCommerce, so the recommendation is not decided by which one we happen to sell. We have advised clients to stay on the platform they already had.
One team, and you meet it
Design, development and integration sit together, and you are introduced to the people doing the work at kickoff rather than to an account manager who then hands you on.
We say who we are not for
Every service page states plainly who should not hire us for it. If a freelancer or a different platform is the better answer for your situation, that is what you will hear.

Work we are allowed to show
Every project below is published with the client's written permission, states the scope we actually held, and carries a figure only where a named source backs it. Work under NDA is absent, and so is anything we would have to round up to make interesting.

Workshop.nl
Workshop.nl is a Dutch marketplace where independent hosts list, sell and manage their own classes rather than a single retailer selling stock. We built the platform on WordPress and WooCommerce, covering vendor onboarding, ticketed booking, payment handling, a seller dashboard, and direct messaging between a host and the person booking.

Testimonials
What clients say
Quotes from people we have built for, published with their names attached and with their words unedited. We do not run anonymous quotes, and we do not publish a star rating for ourselves — a score we pick and display on our own site proves nothing that a named client saying something specific does not.
We were impressed with the team's dedication
We were impressed with the team's dedication and the professionalism of their services. They were consistently responsive, and while their fees were initially a little higher, they were ultimately reasonable, especially considering their willingness to negotiate.

Common questions
These are the questions we are asked most often before a project starts, answered in full rather than deferred to a call. If yours is not here, the contact form below reaches the same people who would answer it on a call.
What does an ecommerce development company actually do?
An ecommerce development company builds and maintains the online store itself: the storefront design, product catalogue, checkout, payment and shipping integrations, and the connections to inventory or accounting systems. We handle platform selection, the build, the launch, and the optimisation work after launch when real customer behaviour shows what needs fixing.
How much does it cost to build an ecommerce website?
Cost is driven by three things: how many templates need designing, how many systems the store must integrate with, and whether you are migrating an existing catalogue. A configured theme with light customisation is a fraction of a bespoke build with custom apps and ERP integration. We give a fixed band before any work starts.
Which ecommerce platform should I choose for my business?
Choose Shopify if you want to launch quickly with minimal technical maintenance and your requirements fit its app ecosystem. Choose WooCommerce if you need full ownership of your data, custom business logic, or no per-transaction platform fee. The dividing line is customisation depth, not company size — small businesses often need WooCommerce and large ones often do not.
Can one agency handle both Shopify and WooCommerce?
Yes, and it matters that they can. An agency that only builds on one platform will recommend that platform regardless of fit. We build on both, which means the platform recommendation comes before the sales conversation rather than after it. We have advised clients to stay on the platform they already had.
How long does it take to build an online store?
A configured theme build typically runs two to three weeks. A custom Shopify or WooCommerce build runs six to ten weeks, depending on template count and integrations. Migrations add one to two weeks for catalogue transfer, URL mapping and testing. The largest variable is how quickly content and product data arrive.
What is the difference between an ecommerce developer and a web designer?
A web designer decides how the store looks and how a customer moves through it. An ecommerce developer builds that into working software, connects payment and shipping systems, and makes it handle real order volume. Most stores need both, which is why design and development sit in the same team here rather than being handed between two vendors.
Do you work with businesses outside India?
Yes. Most of our clients are in the United Kingdom and the United States. Our studio is in Rajkot, India, and we hold guaranteed overlap hours with both markets for calls and reviews. We invoice in GBP or USD, and projects run on shared boards so progress is visible without a meeting.
Is it better to hire an agency or a freelancer to build my store?
A freelancer is cheaper and works well for a defined, single-discipline task. An agency is worth the difference when a project needs design, development and integration at once, or when it must survive one person being unavailable. If your build is a theme setup with light customisation, hire a freelancer — you do not need us.
